Tautar OÜ has developed the SBX Tools platform. SBX is a subsidiary of Tautar OÜ, and the solution itself has been built by the Tautar team. The project demonstrates our ability not only to deliver client work, but also to develop our own product software with clear product logic and user value.
X-Road security server add-on for organization-level authorization
Extension developed for a healthcare-sector use case
In this case, multiple organizations could operate behind a single security server, and the standard server-level access model was not sufficient on its own. We proposed and built an add-on for the X-Road security server that introduced an additional organization-level authorization layer. This solved the installation-specific requirement without modifying the X-Road core, while avoiding both the maintenance overhead of separate adapters and the inefficiency of duplicating the same checks across individual services.
Electric motor testing software for a manufacturing company
End-to-end control of an industrial testing workflow
We developed software for a manufacturing company that controlled the full electrical testing workflow for electric motors. Based on the order number, the system identified the motor being tested, loaded the expected parameters and allowed ranges, guided the operator through the required wiring steps, communicated with integrated measuring devices, and automatically decided whether the process could continue to the next stage. At the end of the workflow, the results were sent onward to connected systems. The solution remained in use for more than a decade.
CRM/ERP platform for an international group of companies
Business-critical core system used across multiple countries
We developed a CRM/ERP platform for an international group of companies, supporting a large share of their day-to-day business operations. The system handled transaction imports from files as well as directly from integrated partner systems, contract management, customer-specific pricing terms and discounts, and invoice generation and delivery. A strong emphasis was placed on automation and workflow consistency across the organization. The solution remains in use today.
Automation of VAT refund services for the transport sector
Document processing and cross-border tax authority workflows
We developed software that automated the core workflows of a VAT refund service for transport companies. The system imported and processed VAT-related documents using machine-readable data extraction and submitted claims directly to tax authorities in different countries, reducing manual work to a minimum. The solution was in use for more than a decade.
Online card processing solution compatible with ISO 8583
Modern internal architecture with a legacy external protocol
We developed an online card processing solution that needed to interoperate with ISO 8583. Because the protocol is old and strongly tied to legacy environments, the conventional approach would have required adopting specialized legacy hardware and software. Instead, we built an adapter layer that translated the low-level messages and allowed the rest of the system to be implemented using a modern architecture. This made it possible to meet strict external compatibility requirements without inheriting unnecessary legacy constraints internally.
